Mass Effect 2 DLC Rumor

I recently borrowed a copy of Mass Effect from Luke, and in anticipation for the squeal have started a new character. This has also caused me to pay a little bit closer attention to the news surrounding the second games release. Then I stumbled across this; according to a recent retailer training quiz, the DLC plans for Mass Effect 2 has been accidentally revealed.

The space epic scheduled for release in January is apparently going to be longer than expected. A leak from a retailer that recently took a Microsoft Expert Zone quiz has let us know that the games DLC will consist of downloadable characters, weapon and armor packs, combat scenarios, and even full add on episodes.

The weapon and armor pack seems pretty standard, as do the combat scenarios. But the characters and episodes sound awesome. It seems to me like the most logical type of episodes would be ones that mimic the setup of the GTA DLC and offer some sort of side mini-campaign.  Which for any fans of Mass Effect is a huge deal, and something we have been asking for since the original.

The character packs seem to add a new dimension to the game too, customizable party system anyone? Imagine having a thoroughly expanded library of characters to choose from to put into your party.

Pure win.
