A while ago marvel announced the addition of 5 downloadable characters for MUA2. This is something we saw with the original MUA with the hero and villain packs, I personally downloaded the character pack for the original and thought it added a lot more re-playability to the game. As of now marvel has released 3 out of the 5 characters; Cable, Carnage and Psylocke. Below is my opinion on these characters.
Cable
Cable is the son of Cyclops and Phoenix sent to the future to protect him from a disease that threatened to take over his entire body. Cable has similar powers to his mother as he has limited physic ability and some telekinesis powers as well. His strength however is his brilliant tactical mind and his proficiency with weapons
While watching his game play video I was a little disappointed many of his attacks seemed to mimic Deadpools attacks and even his fusion attack was nothing new. In my opinion Cable is just a new model with powers we have all seen before.
Carnage
Carnage come to fruition when a psychopathic killer named Cleatus Ccasedy shared a cell with a certain Eddie Brock. The symbiot tracked Eddie down and rescued him from the prison but left some of itself behind when it escaped. The small piece that was left behind bonded with Casedy and created one of the most terrifying villains of all time
Carnage's gameplay video was a little more interesting then Cable's. He seems to have the same speed and agility as spider-man but his attacks are much more brutal. Many people may see Carnage as just another skin for Venom or Spider-man and while they have many similarity's, Carnage seems like a worthy character with his brutal attacks and funny catch phrases. I think he would be a great addition to MUA2
Psylocke
Sister to captain Britain and a hero in her own right Psylocke is one chick you do not want to mess with. Trained by ninjas her body is a deadly weapon and backed up with her immense physic powers she is a force to be reckoned with.
Now here is a character I am very excited to play as, from the game play video you can see that she is a very agile character and many of her moves are physical attacks backed up with her physic powers. She also has the ability to summon a physic knife that should make kicking bad guy ass a lot more fun.
Out of the three character marvel has revealed so far I am most excited for Psylocke as she seems like a completely brand new character where as Cable and Carnage seem to familiar and almost just like second or third skins for characters already in the game. That being said if you are a fan of any of these three characters or just want to play the game through with different guys I would highly recommend downloading them, but if you couldn't care less about these characters I would say just enjoy playing the game and forget about them.
+New characters give the game more replay value
+Psylocke looks kick ass
-Cable's attacks mimic Deadpools
-Both cable and Carnage seem like they should just be alternate costumes not new characters
